There is no interview process. If you have your substitute certificate and pass their basic math test then you are hired. You have to get your fingerprints, notary, oath of alliance, and background check. The sub office will send out the application to the state for the certification. Once you review that and they put you in the system then you are officially ready to start working.

you need at least a associate degree got to central office with your application you can download it online your transcripts and those papers are sent to Trenton and then they will send you a certification.

walk in to the board of education, take the application, then start the application process. background check, doctor immunizations, physical, finger print, and last but not least a basic English math test. each and every step i have mention above it takes 2 to 3 month, with the exception of the doctor physical.
