First, I found out about the job through a friend who knew an employee for PNC Bank, which I did not know at all, who then put my resume in the system. I just received a call out of the blue to see if I was still interested in an interview. So the day of the interview everything seemed to go well. Although two things; I forgot the name of the lady that referred me (big fowl) the other was that I left my extra resumes at home (know I felt like a moron). The interview seemed to go fine, especially since I was just trying to get my foot in the door and work hard to get to where I want to be. The lady interviewing me was nice and we seemed to have a firm understanding of what they were looking for. One key thing though; she said they have a culture of teamwork, helping one another, and they don't condone the typical office B.S. with rumors and two-timing. Needless to say I didn't get hired. I didn't even hear a word. Ironically, I had seen the same lady and a work colleague sitting behind us at a local restaurant and apparently she did not even recognize me. My wife and I were close enough to hear their conversation the entire meal, which consisted of some pretty serious co-worker gossip/bashing. The exact opposite of the corporate culture they were trying to tell interviewees they wanted. Thank God things worked out for the better. I can't stand how immature people can be.
