Interview
One written test- Coding and design question for dance studio, and after clearing the written test \you would be called for one to one interview. I have attended for .net interview and there is only one panel for .net and there were around more than 30 candidates in the room. not even one guy was selected by the panel. The problem with the panel they are not trained not the HR guy who says you can leave for the day not the panel of course not any one guy trained how to conduct an interview. They think it is okay to waste someone's saturday just because the company has some openings. The way panel asks the questions is not to examine you but to prove that they are smarter than you . At some point i was talking about the real time scenarios where we had to apply performance tuning for sql server he changed the subject because he understood that I was strong in that area. then He jumped on to the CI/CD pipeline . Really developer's who knows this stuff are called Dev op engineers. and at the end of an interview the interviewer fanatically shaking his head round and round indicating he is done with the interview. He didn't even offered me to ask the questions if i have any.
And the best part is some HR personal came to me with his hands indicated that i should not be waiting here and wait at the reception.
when i was waiting for my feed back at the reception HR called my name and said i can leave for the day (which means i was not selected) So i have asked that guy do you have any feedback form i can give you for the way you are conducting the interviews? and the answer is .... we don't disclose that to the candidates (Seriously .. he thought i was asking about my feed back of the interview) Thanks to the technological advances like Glassdoor I can express this awful experience with everyone and make sure they know the Hyderabad Mindspace building 14 interview experience.
Advice to the management:
I have done the interviews hell i have been part of the recruitment panel for about 6 years now. You know every company i have been with asked me to discuss the job description first and make us understood that interview panel is the face of the company when interviewer makes mistake it will not be considered as his problem it will be company's problem. Interview was supposed to be a discussion not debate or a question and answer session. I know in Hyderabad there are many candidates and company has right to choose whomever they want but you CANNOT treat the others like they don't matter or their time does not matter. May be your company is using some additional tools that other's are not using it is only a matter of skill gap if you cannot fill this gap with training atleast show the respect the candidate deserves.
In Conclusion I don't want this guy to be roasted over this review but make sure he understands the consequences of how they are treating the candidates and their time.
Total 3 rounds of interview. 2 Technical and 1 Manager round. After 3 rounds HR package discussion will happen. Over all the interview process is bit difficult. Give 30 words
Firstly, they check your problem solving skills. Then they check your domain technical knowledge, in my case they asked questions related to java and microservices. Then they ask questions related to the recent project u had worked on. Also asked questions from kafka and DBMS.
The have online code signal round which is ai powered round. 4 questions ie 3 api to be build and build one rate limiter . Not sure how the scoring works but hard to crack
