Started with a brief phone call from the recruitment agent (Instant Impact), then a video interview is arranged with the same person from the call. If successful you are asked to complete a numerical & verbal reasoning test. The recruiter (Mollie in my case) will give you tips on this. It's worth doing as much revision and practice as you can. They are quite challenging, especially if like me you haven't done maths to this level since leaving school over 10 years ago. Do as many practice tests online as you can, the time limit is too short in my opinion so this helps deal with that. Practice, Practice, Practice. If you pass the tests you'll be invited to attend a 'Discovery Day'. This is a group interview with other candidates over zoom. You are set a couple of group tasks to work through and at the end there is a solo interview. This is the first time any Octopus employees are seeing you. Again, tips are provided by the recruiter (Mollie) in advance so follow any advise here. Make sure you offer ideas and suggestions in the group tasks, remaining silent and letting everyone else do the work will not look good for you, equally don't just shout over people. They're looking for your team player skills. The last stage (if successful) if a final solo interview a few days later. I was asked a few more questions about why I wanted to work for Octopus etc..... And luckily was offered a role afterwards. It's quite a lengthy process, but I understand Octopus get a lot of applicants. Lastly I'd like to thank Mollie for all the help and guidance through the process.
