I heard about this Internship through word-of-mouth from other students at Northwest. It was a series of interviews, first on Zoom and then in person, and the whole time, Northwestern Mutual didn't give me straight responses for anything. They told me a lot of things about the internship that was super vaguely-worded to make me think that it was going to be one thing, and after doing some digging, I realized that the internship was nothing more than lead generation for the company to gain more customers.
Initial phone interview then invited to group interview. then given a sheet and told to sign my family and friends up for insurance. i felt uncomfortable with the assignment and never followed up.

what is one area you used teamwork. why do you want to work here. what do you know about northwestern mutual. will you take this piece of paper and sign up anybody you think would be interested in insurance.
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2024
Interview
The process was so difficult, not because of the process, but because every time I even attempted to communicate with them, they had to reschedule me. I scheduled an interview with one of their representatives multiple times, and they repeatedly failed to call me or return my calls during our agreed meeting times.
