I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Naughty Dog in Oct 2022
The first two interviews consisted of generic interview questions about video games and work history. The 3rd interview had applicants play a video game while the interview team watched. I was initially contacted one month after applying, and each interview happened roughly 3 weeks apart, so it was a long process. The staff who conducted the interview were really nice! I did not receive an offer though, and I was fairly overqualified for the position. It seemed like there were a ton of applicants, so it's probably pretty competitive.
- What are your two worst qualities?
- Name a time that you and a coworker didn't get along and explain how you resolved the issue.
- Name several recent video games that you have played, and explain the specific reasons that you enjoyed them.
- What are some bugs that you encountered while playing through games developed by Naughty Dog? (Ratchet and Clank, TLOU, Uncharted)
- Explain what you think you would do at this job on a daily basis.
- Do you have leadership experience?
- Describe a time where your work was criticized.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Naughty Dog in Apr 2015
They mostly asked me questions regarding my gaming and educational background. Mostly asking what i've played, what projects I've done any take away lessons I had with those experiences. It was a straight forward interview.
- They asked what my favorite game of all time is and why.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Naughty Dog (Santa Monica, CA) in Dec 2014
It was a relaxing environment, the interviewers were comfortable to talk to. The recruiting coordinator was very helpful when I had questions before the interview. The interviewers were very accommodating when I asked questions about the company and how they worked. What impressed me the most is the honesty in their statement and how they wanted the best for both their interests and mine. When it came to serious issues, they were able to convey professionalism and interest in the matter that made me feel comfortable talking about it. I was nervous and probably spoke more than I should about topics that randomly popped into my mind at times, and I thought it was nice of them to listen to me ramble slightly off topic at times, but I felt they were genuinely interested in me to see if I was a good fit so they let me ramble.
- What are my future plans in the Game Industry?
