I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Merkle (Charlottesville, VA) in Feb 2020
Interview
The interview process was in several stages, just as any usual data science interview processes. It went really well, it was very quick, and all the questions were straight to the point. I reached the final stage and had an onsite interview, after which I have never heard back! I followed up multiple times with the recruiter and the hiring manager, and got no response. It was extremely unprofessional of them to leave someone hanging like that, I would have understood if the answer was no, or they got a hiring freeze, but it is really hard to sympathize with a company that takes you through the entire interview process and then stops all communication. My time and efforts could be invested more wisely.

Question 1
I had a phone screening as the initial interview, which briefly went over my resume and relevant experience. As the second stage I received a project, which required answering a few questions using statistical modeling techniques. The third stage was a phone interview in which we went over the project and I was asked additional statistical and programming questions. The on-site interview then was meeting with representatives of multiple teams. The questions there were also related to statistics and programming, but also included more general behavioral questions. The last stage of the on-site interview was presentation of a previous project with overview of techniques, results, and lessons learned.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Merkle (Bengaluru) in Sep 2024
Interview
Got a call from staffing agency, she asked lot of details including hobbies. Then shared one test link which contained only mcqs regarding SQL and stats. After completing the assessment straight away they called for an virtual tech round. It was an horrible experience ever for me. Initially when I gave the intro, that moment only interviewer didn't show any interest. Then he shared two SQL questions I wrote the queries with window functions , I know the answers are correct but he still asked me to write another solution for the same question. For. Programming you can't expect the same answer from everyone. Each will be having different way of approaching the problem same I did. But he literally tried to corner me. Then when it comes to ML I clearly explained the steps. But at the last I got the mail from hr saying that I haven't selected in the round 1. Kindly request if you already have someone , please don't give false hope to other candidates. The moment I received the mail from hr about my rejection, it's a heartbreak for me. Because I know that I have answered more than 80%.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Merkle (Gijón) in May 2023
Interview
