Long interview process, met with HR, hiring managers, program director and VP of department. The process was over a period of 3 months. While I didn't get an offer, the biggest disappointment came from lack of communication about hiring timelines and how the final decision was communicated. It is quite exhausting to have a lengthy interview process and meet with so many individuals. There was often significant delay in finding out when the next interview was going to take place. The final decision was not communicated by an interviewer, hiring manager or HR but rather a "not retained" notification on the job application portal. I find that to be very disrespectful and expected better from a highly sought after institution. A simple reply to an email asking for an update is more than sufficient.
