Interview was regarding a management position in the technical area. Went back and forth w/ the typical components of the position applied to regarding expected responsibilities and compared these to my previous accomplishments. The recruiter then explained the many benefits the company offered. Everthing sounded quite good, until the salary was discussed. Dissapointing, the company considers everyone to be an entry level employee no matter how much previous experience you have had. The salary scale is about 1/2 of the expected, i.e if you're making $100 K, their position will pay $50 K...sad but true. Negotiating will only get you about 10% more. It's just the way they do things. Probably ok for someone just coming out of college for their first couple of years, just so you can put something on your resume. Obviously not enough of a salary to support a family in this area.
