I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mayer Brown (Chicago, IL) in Jun 2020
Interview
The attorneys who interview you have a sheet they need to fill out with information like "would you feel comfortable working with this person" or "would they be effective in front of a client" and things like that so each person who interviews you will probably ask you the same types of questions over and over.
Screening round with 2 attorneys, then a multi-hour rotstion with 1-2 attorneys per interview. The interviews were mostly conversational and as much describing the firm as they were asking about me

Question 1
What kind of law are you interested in practicing?
The interviewer was very friendly, and she seemed genuinly interested in her field. I enjoyed talking to her. However, I wish the interview were alittle longer, as I did not think the time was sufficient to really get to know me.
