One of the worst places to work ever! They don't communicate with you at all and leave you in the dust. I had the opportunity to interview for a biostatistician role at a lab for MGH. The interview process was very lengthy, where I met with several team members and had back-to-back questions over the course of a week. After about a week after interviewing with them, I got confirmation of the offer. Now here's where all the stress came in. I was fully prepared and happy to work with the team. However, since then, there has been absolutely zero communication from HR on the role. I repeatedly checked in with the PI and the project manager of the lab, only to be told they are still continuing to coordinate internally regarding the position's funding and will keep me posted (and covering up by mentioning a bunch of other excuses like the fact that MGH is merging, when in reality, HR is totally a mess and is not organized). Overall, very unhappy with MGH. They don't give any transparency what is going on, treat their candidates like crap, and most research roles are severely underpaid. They can't even give a formal offer letter, which I have been waiting on for more than 3 months. If you want to be respected, I highly suggest you take your talents elsewhere.
