I applied online. I interviewed at LinkedIn in Sep 2019
Interview
Applied on LinkedIn, got contacted by a recruiter who scheduled an initial phone screen. After that, there was a video interview with the hiring manager, followed by an in-person interview with the hiring manager and another member of the team. This consisted of 2 presentations (case study and a more generic presentation) as well as some final interview questions. The final stage was a 30 minute interview with the head of the department. I was kept updated throughout the entire process, extremely professional recruitment team and the whole process was very well managed.

Walk me through your career so far. What attracted you to this role? What would you bring to the role?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
They gave me a call for the phone screening. I was not even listened at all. They asked a question and they did not show any interest to interview me. I did not enjoy it.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Dublin, Dublin) in Jul 2018
Interview
I was reached out to by an ex-colleague who mentioned that a manager had seen my LinkedIn profile and was interested in interviewing me for a role. I had always liked the look of LinkedIn and had had a number of previous failed attempts at applying where I did not even hear back, so was happy to have this foot in the door.
The first stage was a phone screen with the recruiter which went well, but unlike other calls where 'next steps' are discussed at the end, I received no indication on the call if I would be progressing or not. A few days later I heard back that they would be progressing me to the next stage which would be a video call with the hiring manager and a second manager. This featured standard interview questions, "Why LinkedIn", "Tell us about a time when.." etc.
Again this went well and a few days later I was invited to a round of on-sites which featured a role-play scenario including presentation, a second presentation on "Why I'm interested in Recruitment Marketing and Online Advertising", and then finally, an interview with a peer.
I did not hear back for another 10 days with an update where I was told that I was ultimately unsuccessful, although had been deemed a great cultural fit and was encouraged to reach out to the recruiter should other roles peak my interest.
