I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at LA Fitness (Maplewood, MN) in Oct 2014
Interview
The OM(Operational Manager) interviews you. Took about a half an hour. Was asked to fill out a background check. We sat by the Sales area and used the computer there to fill in necessary information for employment. They gave me a job description/expectations of the job, etc. The orientation was easy and you did it online at home or where ever you had access to a PC. The job was contingent after I knew I was given a packet full of info about the company. Then was emailed info on the company to self-read(pretty much their way of orientation). There was nothing difficult about the interview process. They basically look at your personality-wise to offer the job in my humble opinion.

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LA Fitness (Phoenix, AZ) in Sep 2015
Interview
Honestly, I never had an official interview. I met with the Operations Manager before I applied because a friend introduced me and told me about the opening. I described myself a little, and my experience with kids, and the hours I was looking for. They told me to apply and they'd call me. I applied and since I go to the gym already they talked to me there. I went in to fill out another application for the background check, and once that came back they told me and emailed me employee paperwork. After that I went in to finish more paperwork and the next day I started.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at LA Fitness (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
I was referred by a friend who currently works there so I simply met with the manager, she asked a handful of easy questions, and next thing you know she started scheduling me to come back to fill out paperwork and get trained. You do have to pay for the Life Scan background check but it get reimbursed after your first paycheck.
