I was called for an interview which I went to appear for in uber (which is very expensive here). Waited for a long time standing awkwardly because they had no place to sit inside the premises. I received an offer letter for the job underpaying me, to which they said, since you are new in Canada this will be your pay, i told them I have previous remote working experience in Canada for 2 years, so cant just take this benefit of someone being new to a country deserves less, although their expertise do not even involve being dependant on residing in a particular country. Anyhow, they raised the pay upon my soft request to raising it up a little, and told me to come to the office ina few days from then. In the meanwhile i stopped interviewing for other jobs and considered myself employed now, refused to other offers, and right 1 day before i was about to go to work, i received the CEO's message telling me that they have changed their plan for the business and are no more looking for this position's candidate. This was unbelievable, after sending me the contract of job offer, i signed and returned it, and they failed to deliver their offer and clearly refused? Their letter of job offer was merely a joke, taken too seriously by me. Be careful!
