I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Hillsboro, OR) in Dec 2021
Interview
I have applied for the position through a referral. It took me 1.5 months to get the first phone screen interview with the hiring manager. It lasted for about 30 mins and then she scheduled for the next rounds of interview with 2 group leaders in teams meeting. Those were 1 hour long and I had to prepare a 20-25 mins presentation of my graduate research work. It followed by few technical questions and mostly behavioral questions. It’s been almost 2 weeks since then and I am still waiting to hear back from intel (regardless of the positive or negative decision). I have even emailed the hiring manager to know their decision, but got no response.

Process begins with a phone screen with recruiter, followed by hiring manager discussion, then onsite interviews consisting of several one-on-one sessions, where candidates are usually expected to deliver a presentation.
It was pretty straightforward overall. They mainly asked questions about my resume, previous work experience, and the projects and research work I completed during my graduate studies. The conversation was conversational and focused on understanding my background and technical experience.
