I was contacted about the position via LinkedIn by an IG recruiter. He referred me to talk to another recruiter if I was interested in the position, which I did. Had a quick phone screen, and he set me up to interview a week later with 3 people from the team that I would be working with. I arrived at the interview 10 minutes early, and ended up waiting 20 extra minutes after the planned interview time while the team was in another room a few feet away chatting and laughing. They came out to the lobby, ignored me, kept chatting, then one of them finally came up to me and said they were almost ready to interview me (again, I had been waiting in the lobby 20 minutes after the proposed interview time). Finally it was time for the interview, and it was really casual. They ended my interview early because another candidate arrived, which was slightly irritating because they were 20 minutes late to start the interview.
It took about two weeks for the recruiter to get back to me after several follow-up calls, and eventually he said they went with a different candidate. He did offer me a similar position on another team, but then completely stopped replying to my emails which I indicated interest in the new position.
Overall, this was a very unpleasant interviewing experience. The day-of interview was incredibly unprofessional, the post-interview follow ups were untimely, and at the end of the day I was offered a position but never heard back from again. Would not recommend getting hired through Insight Global.
