The process included two in-person interviews. The first was with the PI and project team and the second was with the PI and the department administrator. The process took about two weeks total. There was not much room for negotiation. The hiring process and salary ranges differ significantly by department, team, school.

1. 30 min screen call with HR to learn more about the role and agree to the salary and JD of the position
2. If advanced, usually a 1 hour zoom call with the Hiring Manager
3. Group interview with larger team
4. Final interview with the PI

Straight forward and friendly if you make it past the ats process. Initial phone screen with hr, then meeting with a managing director. Friendly questions, a lot about cultural fit.

It started with a 30 min HR screening call. The next interview stage was a Team call with the positions manager and head of the program. Both calls went over similar questions, with the second more practical information about the position.
