I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Halliburton in Oct 2013
Interview
Recommended info session the night prior to the interviews. It was supposed to start at 7 but there was a mix up and it didn't start till 730. The info session was very detailed about the available positions and what they entailed. The info session was scheduled to end at 9 but went until 1015.
The interview was very short. I was interviewed by a site manager. He asked why Halliburton. What did I know about Halliburton, what positions most interested me, if I was 100% sure I wanted a job in the petroleum industry and if I was ok with the fact that I would have to learn a completely new skill and wouldn't be using anything I learned in my major.
The interview lasted 10 minutes... no fluff at all then he asked me if I had any questions.

Question 1
The most unexpected thing was the duration of the interview and that he asked zero behavioral questions.
Relaxed interview. You will walk through your resume and learn about positions and opportunities within the company. Questions were not difficult. It felt more like a conversation than an interview
Awesome. Pretty straightforward... The people who interviewed me was really nice and explain and answered every question with details. The job description for interns is really open to let you discover if what you’re studying is for you.

How would you describe a difficult situation and how you succeed?
It was a 3 days process, interviewers were certainly very friendly and helpful. Started with an aptitude test, then a group interview and then then a team work challenge. I learned a lot
