I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Girls Who Code in Mar 2015
Interview
Applied through their online portal and had someone reach out to me over the email to schedule a video conference interview. The interview was relatively easy and the interviewer was very friendly and really wanted to make sure you would be a good fit for the classroom. It definitely helps if you have previous experience TA-ing a class or a summer program or even tutoring. Make sure you show that you are personable and passionate about the cause.
I applied online. I interviewed at Girls Who Code (New York, NY)
Interview
- Initial phone interview and -Interview with the HR team - then if selected they email you the offer letter with the joining date - they let you know whether you are selected or not within 2 weeks either through call or email -----------------------------------------
Firstly, I received questions about my past experience. The first part feels like a behavioral interview. And then, there was a sample teaching session. Lastly, I needed to solve a coding quiz. The interview was virtual on Zoom.
The interview started with basic personality questions and then moved to behavioral questions and a technical debugging question. There was also a section where you would mock teach a lesson.
