Apologies that the need for the DevOps candidate to be experienced at coding wasn't made more strongly to you. As a lot of our infrastructure is built using custom tools, it's important that the DevOps team can support them. Please rest assured that our technical team do look at all the Codility tests we receive. We really do appreciate the time and effort candidates put into doing them. It's often as much about the process shown on the results, as the percentage score.
