Interview with a founder felt like it couldn’t have gone better including direct feedback in the moment that I was exactly what they were looking for. …And then I was ghosted despite multiple follow ups. Eventually, three weeks later I got an email saying they thought someone had reached out to me and they went in another direction.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fourthwall in Jan 2022
Interview
Initial Zoom with one of the founders. Great conversation. Went really well. He moved me to what he called the hiring manager. That seemed very strange to me but I just went with it. I had another Zoom with her and it also went really well. She had some really great questions. It was very obvious that she had zero knowledge about People Ops so having this role report into her was a big red flag. I figured it was something I could fix later, though. After about 10 days hearing nothing, I emailed the cofounder and asked for an update. He said I should have gotten an email from Greenhouse because they made an offer to someone else. They didn't even let me get through the final 2-3 rounds so that sucks as I'm sure the person they hired isn't as good as me. Really interesting concept. Disappointed to have missed out on this one, but probably not worth the headache of reporting into a non-People person and not being placed in the executive team like this role should be.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fourthwall (Poznań, Greater Poland) in Sep 2020
Interview
The process was clearly laid out and easy to understand. The people at Fourthwall made sure I felt comfortable at every step. The process consisted of two main interviews and a "homework" assignment (the company offered to pay for my time here) that was fun to complete. The first meeting checked if the needs of the company and my interests aligned, it also served the purpose of outlining what the company does. The interviewers during the second call were friendly and knowledgeable, with strong soft and technical skills. The whole process was done remotely in line with pandemic best practices.
