Only made it to first round live interviews.
Initial contact over LinkedIn, first round scheduled less than a week later. Three short interviews with different people. The teams are extremely young and less prepared than what I expected, but I appreciated their genuineness and warmth. They strongly believe in what they're doing (rightfully so, this company is definitely on the up!) and they're excited to be working there.
I was told there would be a case interview(s) but what was given to me was far from what I expected. The "case" was all qualitative and shorter than any case interview I've had, and my it was the first time my interviewer gave a case interview, which was quite odd considering they're trying to poach from the a higher-tier consulting firms. If I was the recruitment team, I'd just call it a qualitative, industry focused interview as there was no clear path for quantitative work. Had I known the answer was more qualitative I definitely would have rephrased and redone my thought process instead of spending 15mins trying to figure out it's not quantitative at all.
Overall, very genuine people who are excited to be there and I was impressed by the knowledge of resources, even though they may be relatively inexperienced. Had I gotten to the next round and eventually an offer, I would've reconsidered my view towards the company, but I still probably would have leaned 60%/40% towards taking it. Awesome company, and am looking forward to seeing what Flexport is doing in the near future.
