I applied online. I interviewed at Fidessa (New York, NY) in Apr 2017
Interview
Similar to everyone, else, the initial screening was via Sparkhire videp recorded interview. I was contacted 3 days later by email asking me to come to the NYC office for an interview. I was interviewed by the hiring manager and a local VP, total time approximately 2 hours. A week or two afterward, I was called in for a second interview by the same people plus an HR person. My impression coming out of both interviews was that they liked me. I walked out of the second interview certain I would receive an offer. Alas, I was informed a week later that they would not be "progressing with you at this time". As is common, they did not provide a reason, so I'll never know if my desired salary was too high, if I answered some questions inappropriately, or if I was lacking experience for an aspect of the job.

Question 1
The interview questions were wide ranging - how hands on am I? How do I build relationships with business partners? If hired, what would be my first focus/initiative?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Fidessa in Jul 2017
Interview
Soulless and useless. So bad I would not work here if they extended an offer. How any company can think that recording your answers into a webcam constitutes a meaningful hire process is insane.

Question 1
I had to use a platform called spark hire - there was zero human interaction.
