My transition into a full-time Swing Courier position happened through the company's hourly-employee CareerOps intranet system. When this happens, a job posts into a database that is updated weekly, hourly employees view the vacancies and bid on them. Whoever has the highest points in the system (based upon seniority, time in grade, etc.) gets the job offer. I was actually a part-time box handler at an airport before I made my first successful bid into a courier role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Just remember STAR interview methods. The manager will ask you a question about how you handled a situation. You respond by describing the Situation (S), what your Task (T) was, the Action (A) you took, and finally the Result (R) of your action. Managers want SPECIFIC situations of when you overcame an obstacle or executed professional judgement, not just a vague response as to how you generally react to all situations.
Simple, asked about driving experience and availability, ability to pass a drug test, relevant experience. No experience was required but preferred. Applied, got an email a day later asking for an interview the following day. They move fast to ensure you can pass a drug test legitimately.

I applied online. I interviewed at FedEx (Alpharetta, GA) in Oct 2020
Interview
it was a phone interview and the interviewer started out by saying it was going to be no different than if it was in person because he wouldn't be looking at me anyway. WTH kind of opening statement is that... He was very unprofessional, I kept hearing his cell phone ring and a door opening and closing. He then very abruptly asked if I had any questions because he was through with the interview. The worst interview I've ever experienced.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx (Maspeth, NY)
Interview
Phone interview, followed by in-person interview with station operations manager.
I was asked for some background information and behavioral questions. OM, was extremely efficient during interview and straight to the point.
