      Account Supervisor Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FINN Partners (New York, NY) in Apr 2025

      Interview

My recent virtual interview experience left me feeling quite disappointed. While I recognize there are areas where I could have performed better, I was particularly thrown off by a question regarding my career progression. Honestly, this felt somewhat classist, as it made assumptions without any understanding of my personal financial circumstances that may have influenced my career decisions. The interview itself felt rushed, leaving little opportunity for a genuine conversation. Furthermore, the interview concluded without allowing me to ask any questions, which gave the distinct impression that a decision had already been made. The process felt impersonal and didn't provide a positive candidate experience.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at FINN Partners in Aug 2025

      Interview

The interview process with Finn Partners was long and felt a bit experimental. When I originally spoke with the recruiter, she said the process would be about a month long but it ended up being about two and a half months. In total I did 6 interviews including a presentation, interviewing with one employee twice and submitting references. According to the recruiter, delays were due to employee PTOs, employee's availability and them doing a 'thorough' review of applicants. I've interviewed a lot over the years and this interview process was by far the most taxing and with little regard to my time and commitment. The recruiter did her best with weekly updates but didn't seem to know much of what was going on unfortunately. I recently saw a company getting sued for interviewing diverse talent to show it being done but not actually hiring them. Observing the interviewers not being very diverse, the dragged out/hoop jumping process (to potentially find other talent) and also being recorded during my interview led me to believe I may have been a check box or experiment not actually going to get the position. While I do feel shorted, I am writing this review to warn future applicants of the company's interview etiquette and get the company to consider updating their process out of respect to applicants and their time. They should definitely consider coupling interviews so applicants can interview back to back and not have to spend weeks rearrange their schedules.

      Question 1

How do you handle last minute client requests? How do you have misalignment with the client and internal teams?
