I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2011
Interview
Gave them resume at university information session; they sent an email back asking for an on-campus interview within the week. Had to make a profile online and submit resume again, as well as transcript. Interview was 1 on 1 and almost entirely behavioral, the rest being specifics about the research experience on resume. Was told at the end of interview that notification would be through email; received generic rejection in about 10 days.
