I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Houston, TX) in Oct 2011
Interview
Applied through campus career center and ExxonMobil website, talked to the recruiters during info session and career fair. They were all very nice and kind. Got notified two weeks before the interview (first round, on campus). I am looking for full-time opportunities, so I know the on campus interview will probably all be behavioral. Took some time to prepare for typical questions. And went over the resume for every detail.
Got notified for second round interview (site visit) after a week of the campus one, the date hasn't been set yet, will probably be early Nov. Will update status later.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Spring, TX) in Jan 2024
Interview
I interviewed back in 2019, which included two phone calls and an invitation to their campus in Spring, TX. Overall, it was a good process, although I did not end up getting the job. However, the culture there was quite strange. Everyone acted as if they were the only ones who knew their job, and the arrogance was obvious. If you're not an arrogant person, you might not find it a friendly environment to work in.

Step 1: Phone Interview

First, I received an email for a phone interview for setting date and time of availablity. I then talked with one HR person and two technical experts. The conversation was very friendly and easy going.

Interview
There was on campus recruiting and I had interview with them. Most of the question are behavior questions, and focusing on how to solve work conflicts, talk about a time that you persuade someone, and talk about your leadership experience. I got phone call a week later from the upstream research company. They asked me some technical question during the phone interview.
