This is the first interview I’ve ever had where I did not even get an opportunity to speak with HR. I was only asked my salary requirements over email. This made it tough to learn any context about the role or the business in order to prepare for the interview with the hiring manager (above and beyond what I could just research on my own of course). Also HR was unresponsive when I asked if they could confirm the hiring manager’s email address to send a thank you note. We were never on the same invite and his email didn’t seem to follow their email format. Disappointing that I received no support/assistance here. And…. the hiring manager was late to the 30 min interview and spent at least 10-15 min covering info I wished HR would have spoke to me about instead of taking from the interview time.
