      Project Manager Interview

      Mar 7, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Irvine, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Enterey (Irvine, CA) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Interview process consists of 4-5 interviews including a phone screen. General interview questions, nothing drastic. They are looking more for your personality, if you understand the culture in consulting and your willingness to support the client base. There is also a lot of travel involved and they want to know you will understand the implications. I went through three interviews, and in each interview I was told I would move on to the next and they would be back in touch to schedule another. Unfortunately after my third interview, after being told I would be scheduled with a fourth I received a generic email stating that "We currently do not have an open position for you" Do not ask too many questions - I am the kind of person that needs to know my day-to-day including how the company is structured, how management communicates with remote staff. They are growing fast and I was relocating for family and needed more information to make decisions on housing etc. I was skeptical of the company's plan for such a fast expansion (over 50% growth in personnel expected within one year), but seemed like an interesting opportunity to experience a variety of projects across the industry.

      Question 1

General review of my resume with questions to expand on my experiences and projects - I did not encounter any memorable questions during the interview.

      Interview

They are very thorough with their interview process. Went through a 4 phone screens before I got invited for a face-to-face interview. Each interview was about 2 weeks from one another. If you're unemployed, you'll need to be patient. Prior to starting the interview process, they did warn that the interview process will take longer than usual as they want to look for the right fit. Phone interviews are typically 30 - 45 minutes long. The only thing I would like to caution is that even though they are advertising for a position, they aren't looking to hire. After 3 months of preparation, I was given a generic response that they don't have a position available and may have one available 6 months later.

      Question 1

Nothing too difficult without decent preparation. They ask you to talk about your experience, skills, and situational questions.
