I applied in-person. I interviewed at Dollar Tree (Annapolis, MD) in Jul 2017
Interview
The interview was very professional. It wasn't that long about half hour and afterwards your new hire paperwork is completed and you get your pay card (if that's what you choose and schedule that day. It was a good and comfortable interview process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions were asked like what would you do if having to work under pressure with a deadline, how would you deal with an angry customer, and how to work with a coworker that wasn't "favorable" so to speak.
Came in and asked for the store manager. He took me into the office and asked a few questions. Questions : Why do you want to work for Dollar Tree? Do you know anyone that works here? How you deal with Multi-tasking? How you deal with pressure?
Got the job. (Mainly through Nepotism).

Very simple and easy was hired on the spot. More like a friendly conversation than an interview, was 30min-1hr long. Given tour of store and full run down of responsibilities
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dollar Tree (Tequesta, FL) in Jan 2026
Interview
Went to interview and was nervous about answering questions for the job and depending on how I answer them. That would determine if I get the job or not. But it wasn’t like that at all. The store manager was super friendly and straight forward with everything. Applying was super easy online.
