The founder may be well-intended but requires the candidates to do too much. I was rejected after the phone screen, on-site, take home, and getting my references grilled with questions in that order. If you don't want to strain your relationship with your references and waste your time, I’d steer away.

Interview
Brief call with the recruiter, chat with the hiring manager, pair programming with the hiring manager, chat with Product and CEO.
I had a really positive interview experience and would highly recommend interviewing here if you are looking. The team is really friendly and the lead recruiter I interacted with was extremely organized and followed up with me consistently. The interview with the hiring manager was fun and real world based (versus data structures and algorithms) and I appreciated that it was similar to what you would do on the job. I really enjoyed talking to Product and the CEO too.
