I did one online Skype interview with another Tech Lead, and that went very well. I was then asked to come in for an-in person interview and everything I was told was that everything was great and I would be expecting a take-home Architectural project. That never came, and essentially they ghosted me. I sent one email to ask them if everything was still in progress, and got no answer. Finally, I got a generic email from HR saying they had moved onto another candidate that more closely matched what they were looking for. I take that to mean we found another sucker, and we'll make him an offer for much less money than what I was asking for. I don't think that person accepted because the very next day after I got the HR email, the same job posting was posted on Angel List.

I applied to DEPT online, once I got the opportunity to have an interview they were really nice and open! I really like the culture of the people, they were always really communicative.

They made me feel comfortable talking with them and i could be myself, it felt really natural.

We introduced each other and said about our backgrounds. Then, we had a brief talk about Dept and then they explained to me my role and the expectations that they had from me. We also talked about the Dept culture and how important it is to behave accordingly

They ghosted me. I had a phone call interview with the recruiter that went well and then was invited to come in to have an interview with the managing director. That seemed to have gone well I was told there will be two interviews after that (one presentation and one with a member of the team) and that the hiring manager would contact me with next steps. I sent a follow-up email a week later and still didn't hear anything, its been about 3 weeks now and still nothing. waste of time

Vakkundig interview, voorbereiding vereist. Wordt uitgebreid gevraagd naar successen en hoe je omgaat met lastige cases. Bereid voorbeelden voor van hoe je een probleem goed hebt opgelost. Meerdere gesprekken worden gevoerd om te kijken of je geschikt bent en in het team past.

Na een eerste gesprek met de recruiter, kreeg ik een gesprek met een senior om te kijken of er een klik was. Daarna kreeg ik casus die ik thuis moest maken en vervolgens bij Dept presenteren. Na de presentatie kreeg ik telefonisch te horen of ik het was geworden en kreeg ik een aanbod.
