      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DART Center

      Interview

The interview process was in three stages: an initial behavioral interview, a second one with another recruitment manager, and a final interview (likely with the prospective host site). Be prepared for very specific, fast-paced questions and to be cut-off while you are taking. They also expect you to recite very specific aspects of videos they send in between the first and second interview, which I feel do not test your promise as an organizer very well.

      Question 1

What is one source of passion that brings you to organizing work?

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DART Center (Knoxville, TN) in Jan 2026

      Interview

I wish I had read the interview reviews before applying for a job here. I applied and a couple days later got an interview, which was exciting in a market with such long processes. After submitting the application, they sent an automatic email with a 15 minute video about working at DART, which I thought was a great idea at first. I watched it maybe 2 days before my interview. During the interview itself, it felt like a mix of a test and an interrogation. She asked to record, and I said sure, without the understanding they would be asking very personal questions that are now recorded somewhere. She asked me very specific questions about the video, but in a way that you would not be able to answer unless you were told you would be quizzed on it later, or happened to have made notes on it. I watched the video and did a lot of reading on their website before the interview, and of course did not memorize all of their core values. If they are going to need that level of understanding, they should let people know in advance. I was asked very personal questions, and at one point started crying when discussing a sensitive topic that they prompted. The interviewer was not supportive in any way, and continued asking questions like I wasn't mid cry. I was also asked to repeat things that were already asked in the application, and to me it felt like I was being checked to see if I was lying. The application asked about previous roles, the names of the supervisors and reason for leaving, and the interviewer asked me all of this information again, and it was obvious she was checking it off of the information I already shared. I was asked about other roles I was applying to, and kept it general saying I was applying for non-profit work. She asked to name specific places and roles I applied to, which I thought was very weird and made me uncomfortable. Every question felt like an interrogation and I have not ever felt this uncomfortable in an interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Which one of our core values do you most relate to? Tell me about a time when you had to complete a difficult task while someone was holding you accountable. What part of the video did you relate to the most? How do you feel about working in a religious setting? Tell me about something that makes you angry.

      Application

      I interviewed at DART Center

      Interview

It was a very rigorous process. Clearly looking for a very specific type of candidate and very specific answers. It is a good indicator of what working in the network is like, so that is something to take into consideration. If the process is engaging then you are probably a very good fit. If it is very off putting, then it will probably stay off putting. Interview involved a presentation and a role-play activity as well.

      Question 1

Busiest time, listing activities and hours. How you managed them.
