I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Corning (Painted Post, NY) in Jul 2022
Interview
Applied through company website. HR screening call withing 3 days, followed by a written technical questionnaire regarding my experience. Had video interview with the group after a week - mostly about my PhD experience and details on the role. Got invitation for on-site interview within another two weeks. On-site interview started with a presentation about my research, followed by one-on-one interviews with different managers, including HR. Was offered the position within another week. The whole process was very fast, took about a month.

Question 1
They mostly wanted to understand my experience and interest in the role. There were some technical questions as a follow up from my presentation. Otherwise, typical behavioral interview, each interviewer had their own style and set of questions.
The process was quick. Got first email response within two days of applying. First round was a screening call to know about the candidate. Was also flexible with the data of interview.

It was a screening call and lasted for like 20 min. It was just to know if you can fit their job requirements before moving on to set up technical interviews.

Question 1
The first screening call lasted about 20 min and consisted of questions related to tell me about yourself, about current work, the earliest joining date, relocation assistance, visa status, etc. The job desired the candidate to have lab experience and so, some emphasis in the screening call was given to prior hands-on experience with the related equipment and lab experience.
