Concordia University (Oregon) Interview Questions

I had a group interview, with the staff of the department I was interviewing for, along with many other group interviews with other departments staff. It took several days to complete all interviews.

I applied online & quickly received a call with an initial interview. Was told I would be contacted for an in-person interview. It was over five weeks before I got a call, even after I sent follow up emails. Interviewed with a panel - fairly standard procedure. Again, weeks went by without hearing anything, despite follow ups. Finally got a generic email from the HR department stating I did not get the job.

phone or coffee interview, group interview, team interview, director interview. typical questions, no curve balls or difficult questions. Seemed to be looking for fit more than most skilled.

Phone interview with recruiter discussing my qualifications and job benefits. Then a panel interview with 3 employees followed by a second interview panel with 4 employees and a presentation.

Applied online. 1st interview was with two financial aid supervisors. 2nd interview was with financial aid director and one financial aid supervisor (the person who would be the supervisor for this position).

There is a short interview followed by a mock appointment. The interviewer presented me with a sample paper and asked that I correct any mistakes that I find. I was contacted within that week with an offer via email.

I was asked about my prior online teaching experience and my experience teaching face-to-face. They asked me about my philosophy of teaching and what skills I would bring to their university. Since it is a Christian university, I was asked if I am a Christian. I believe they want good instructors with good morals.
