After a nearly two-month application and interview process, Cobham Tactical Communications & Surveillance extended me a verbal job offer, which I accepted via e-mail, but then days later they refused to extend the written offer and instead re-opened the position. It took me an additional week or so before I was able to get through to them for any kind of answer as to why this had happened, and even then, they gave me inconsistent answers. In my opinion, Cobham TCS handled the entire interview, offer approval, and aftermath very unprofessionally -- exhibiting little internal coordination between the hiring decision-makers and the HR office, keeping me in the dark for long periods of time, suspecting me of lying when they had no reason to, extending a verbal offer and then retracting it after I'd already accepted by e-mail, giving me conflicting reasons as to why my candidacy was withdrawn, and finally, saying I was too aggressive in seeking answers when in fact I was economical and respectful in my communications despite the delays and discomfort of the entire situation.
