First I had a phone call with an HR person, it was supposed to be a zoom, but the person only had their mic on, which is fine, but why schedule a zoom and not a phone call? This part otherwise went smoothly, no problems, just "tell me about your background" type stuff.
Second interview happened a few days later, and also went smoothly and I was feeling pretty good about my chances, but it was pretty much the same questions again just with another person.
Finally the 3rd interview is where it went downhill. It was pushed back 30 minutes with only 20 minutes notice, which ok, that's fine, I get that things happen, BUT when I finally did get the call the interviewer was outside and very distracted.
They were clearly distracted and not really paying attention to answers (which were, yet again the exact same as the previous 2 interviews). I'd have rather rescheduled until they could actually focus on the interview. They kept cutting in and out as well.
After the fact I followed up, got no response until 5 days later when I got a form email basically saying "we're still looking for someone but it's not you".
No more detail, or reasoning - and honestly i'm guessing the final interviewer didn't even hear half my answers and just seemed to want to be done with it. It all really honestly seemed like a waste of time. And the final interview if you can call it that was just unorganized and disrespectful.
Note to the company: If you're going to set up interviews - make sure you actually set aside the time or wait until you can be present at them. Don't waste potential employees time, it's a bad look for the company.
