I got an email the day after submitting indeed application and had an interview two days later. After my initial interview, it took a week to hear back for the second interview but I was able to schedule that one just a couple days away.

I was called for an interview ten days after I applied online through Indeed. While on the phone, I was asked some preliminary questions like why I wanted to work for the company. I had the interview a few days later, and it lasted for two hours(it didn't have to, but I asked a lot of questions). I met with the woman that would be my supervisor for an hour, and then I met with her boss, Assistant Director, for the last hour. I was later called in for a final interview with the Director of the Unit. While I was driving home from this interview, I was e-mailed to request my references. They moved really fast. My references were immediately called, and I was offered the position within two hours of submitting them. All three of the people I interviewed with were nice and seemed passionate about their work. I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process. What was strange to me, is that they don't make an offer pending a background and drug test. I was required to do the drug test and physical within a certain amount of time AFTER I had already started New Employee Orientation. I'm coming from another state, so maybe this is common practice in Illinois. Once I was hired, I came in and completed a reading test as well as filling out a paper application. I also had to write a blerb about my experience as a manager and working with individuals that have an intellectual disability. I was also asked to bring my degree in with me. For other QIDPs, you will have to submit an unofficial transcript(not official), so just keep that in mind. I think most won't have a problem, but it had been a while since I was in school, so it took me a while to get it figured out.
