I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Civil Maps (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2018
Interview
The interview had 4 different stages.
- Initial Screening
- Company Overview / Personal Background
- Technical Interview
- Cultural Interview
- Coding Challenge
Overall the interviewing team was focused on setting the right expectations and ensuring the candidate had the right skill set. There were a couple points where I got stuck with regards to the coding challenge, and I received just the appropriate amount of information to progress further. I think they were more concerned about my thought process rather than results.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Civil Maps (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
Overall, the team lacked clarity and product vision. It sounded like they have the tech but haven't figured out the market.
Had good initial conversations over the phone followed by a 4hr long interview with the hiring team. NO followup or feedback was provided. IMHO if you invite a candidate for an onsite interview and spend ½ day with them, someone from the org. should at least have the decency to close the loop even if its not a mutual fit. Hiring process was poorly handled and this tell you a lot about the company culture.
