Great interview process. I thought it was reasonable and the interviewers had great questions. Everyone was respectful and very professional. Overall it was great and I accepted the offer. Would recommend working for the City of Ottawa.

Submitted application online. Received interview invite in downtown. Simple 1 on 1 interview with HR. Simple questions about my resume, past experiences, interest in position. Received results 3 days later. Very quick process.

Interview process is quite straightforward. Only one interview with hiring manager and senior developer which includes behavioural and technical questions. Questions would be asked and you have to answer after each question. They will note response of each answer to compare with all candidate's responses and eventually the one with high score would be hired.
- 1. Tell us about your education, experience, and why you think you would be a fit for the role of Senior Systems Developer / Integrator on the Citizen Web Experience team? 2. Please describe a situation where you had to deal with a difficult client on a project. How did you manage that relationship and move the project forward? 3. Can you list some source or version control systems that you have used? What are some of the benefits they provide in a team development environment? 4. What are responsive or mobile first designs, and why would you choose to use them? What are some technologies that can be used to implement these in an application? 5. Applications within the City of Ottawa must meet government standards of accessibility, how does meeting accessibility requirements impact front end development? Please tell us about some of the tools, technologies, frameworks used? 6. What is a session in PHP, when does it start and end and please provide an example on how it is used? 7. What PHP frameworks have you used and what are the advantages to using a framework?

They made us swim a lot doing athletic activities like grabbing bricks from bottom of pools, doing timed swims and what not. Anything under the threshold for time or did not meet standards was unacceptable.

More than one interviewer. Interviews made you feel welcome and relaxed. Questions were well thought out and were very relevant to the job. Many scenario type questions to gauge critical thinking and assessment skills.

It was a quick interview which asked about some basic first aid knowledge. Additionally, the other questions were mostly basic interview questions like strengths and weaknesses and questions about your leadership skills.

They asked for a qualifications check, submitted resume with all valid qualifications to desired facility to work at, will hear back from program coordinator in a timely fashion. They will then schedule an interview and ask you to come in for likely a sit down meeting and potentially an in water test or screening.

Was offered an interview after a school clinical rotation. The interview and training went smoothly. The staffing and help at the facility were not helpful. I felt like I was left to do a lot on my own.
