Circuit Board Medics were very quick in setting up an interview after my application was received, and I thought I did well overall in the interview, and was given a tour of the facilities afterwards. All of this happened over the course of an hour and a half, a considerable amount of time for an interview, and we discussed next steps, including a second interview. However, once the interview was over, no further contact was made with me by any real human. I emailed a thank you, and received a few days later I received a rejection email, one of the ones you can tell was auto-generated because the font for the position is different. I reached out thanking them for the opportunity, didn't hear back. Ghosted. I get that this happens in the professional world all the time, but that doesn't make it any less unprofessional and disrespectful to my time that I had to hear from an auto-generated email for a position I wasted an hour and a half interviewing for. That is disrespectful to my time and talents, especially for a company that claims to be so community-driven. There were also several yellow-flag moments in the interview, such as when they asked me about "chores," and when they bragged that they didn't have to care about DEI.
