I applied online. I interviewed at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in Oct 2021
Interview
I recently interviewed at CZI (Redwood City, CA) for SWE intern position. I applied for the role via their careers page.
My interview at CZI was transparent, well-structured, and positive from beginning to end. I received feedback after every round from my recruiter. Everybody I talked to was super nice to me and clearly wanted me to ace the interviews! The technical questions were reasonable and are not designed to surprise you. The interview pipeline was as follows:
- Technical interview (1) with a member from Karat. (You can take a second chance with Karat if you believe you haven't given your best.)
- Call with recruiter
- Onsite rounds (2):
- Behavioral round
- Technical Round (Pair programming).
We are so glad to hear that you felt like our interview process was transparent and well-structured. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are looking forward to having you join our internship class this summer!

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (San Diego, CA)
Interview
I did the interview on karat. I met engineers from karat on a video call, they don't work for czi, they just do interviews for them. The interviewer was very nice and helpful often giving tips.
Thank you for taking the time to share your interview experience. We are glad to see that you had a positive one and hope you keep CZI in mind for future opportunities!
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative
Interview
The interview process was incredible. I got to meet so many interesting and talented software engineers on different teams, as well as an incredibly caring team of recruiters. I remember the process involving a coding interview through Karat, a recruiter call, and then finally a coding and behavioral interview with two engineers at CZI.
