Nothing special, just your typical "Tell me about yourself" scenario... They're not exactly open to change or improvements. They went ahead and bought a design system and seem pretty hesitant to have a design system that truly reflects both the Caplena branding and identity. Being unique in the market isn't really their top priority if you ask me. They've got this front-end guy who basically does UI stuff using what I think was the Ant Design System (can't say for sure though). The point is, they haven't really built anything in-house, just outsourced everything. When I asked if they do user testing or at least some AB testing, they were like, "Nah, we don't do that" (although maybe they've changed their stance since then). Anyway, it's pretty ironic considering the whole business revolves around user reviews and experiences. And when I asked them what they didn't like about what I delivered (the design task they gave me), they nitpicked some small UI elements like saying the background was too damn white, instead of focusing on the many UX improvements I presented in a clean and modern UI. Seems like they took any suggestion for improvement as a personal attack on what they've already done. You could totally see it on their faces, and it's kinda sad, really.
