I applied online. I interviewed at Capgemini Invent (Valencia, Valencian Community) in Jun 2018
Interview
I went to attend the interview, I was interviewed by the Project Manager and the Team Lead.
They asked about my background and I talked about some of the projects I worked on, and I had some question about their development process and methodology, and what were the activities that the project was focused on. Gave them some technical observation about the technologies they were using.
Both the interviewers seemed pretty enthusiast and told me I would have been a very good fit in the team, and I was enthusiast too.
The day after, the HR calls me with an offer, for which I ask 1k/yearly more as salary. He tells me he was going to ask and come back the day after with an answer.
He didn't call back, so I sent a mail some days later, asking if the process was still ongoing, and he comes back to me saying that finally they decided to keep the Senior position for an employee that wasn't allocated on a project at the moment. Days later they posted again the offer on the web.
This was really an unprofessional behavior, and luckily I didn't quit yet my previous company.
At least in Valencia (Spain), I think this company has revealed to be totally unprofessional and unreliable; by what the PM and the Lead were talking about, they didn't have any substancial idea with the insights of the technology they were dealing with on the client project.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Not really a very technical interview, it was more about my background. I think they didn't have the same experience level on the technology, so no specific question was asked.
