Initial follow up was good but eventually I discovered the sales position isn't like any sales job I've ever had - no commissions - only an annual bonus tied primarily to the company's (not the individual's) performance. Zero incentive to sell.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at CNN (Atlanta, GA) in May 2009
Interview
Review lasted three days and involved being interviewed by 5 people, individually and then collectively.
Interviewers were: department head, recruiter, marketing rep, director of contracts, vice president of sales.
The process was fairly painless. I had to prepare a presentation which was shared with the group. I answered some stock questions and talked indepth about how to use new technology to advance the department.
