I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at CNA in May 2010
Interview
After going through two rounds of interviews with CNA for a claims position, I was never given the courtesy of a telephone call, letter or email to notify me that the company decided to offer the job to someone else. I think it is incredibly unprofessional that the HR department failed to timely follow up with me. I also think it's incredibly unprofessional to fail to contact a job seeker who made it to the final rounds of interviews to let him or her know of the outcome. Further, the interview process was incredibly disorganized, with HR scheduling my second round of interviews without first checking with me to see if I had availability on that particular date. I was scheduled to be out of town on the date that CNA wanted me to come in for my second round of interviews and CNA was not accomodating when I requested that the interview be rescheduled. Simply put, the interview process was disorganized and handled in an unprofessional manner.
First you must submit an application, then HR reached out with some additional written questions that had to be answered. Then there was a panel interview with several senior claims handlers. Then it was waiting time. At every step of the process HR indicated that you will hear from then in 5 to 10 business days which was pretty accurate.
