I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CFA Institute (Charlottesville, VA) in Sep 2011
Interview
Received call from a nice recruiter. Spoke for 10-15 minutes. Received an interview time and location. Felt I was a perfect fit for the position.
Arrived at the interview. Closed door. 1:1 interview with hiring manager in an anonymous office with 2-3 chairs.
Knew within 5 minutes that I would not really be considered for the position and the hiring manager would not like me even if I did have all the qualifications needed.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CFA Institute (Charlottesville, VA) in Dec 2015
Interview
A short, cordial phone call with HR. Very laid back, enjoyable conversation. One day later, received an invite to an in-person interview. That interview consisted of a meeting with the hiring manager, followed by co-interview with three team members (one via video conference). Afterward, HR was excellent about staying in touch with me, letting me know of any delays in the hiring process. Three weeks later, I received a call offering me the position.

Question 1
Simple questions regarding my background, my writing style, what groups of people I've worked with previously, if I'm ok with a cubicle, if I have had experience working with people spread around the world.
