Sent resume to Craigslist ad, brief phone call to set up in-person interview and test session. The in-person interview was easy, mostly about my goals, and the test was really long. Interviewer had me do a full SAT minus the essay. I had no time limit for it, but they had not warned me in advance that I'd be taking a 2.5 hr test. (Other tutoring companies often do excerpted tests.) They hired me once I finished, and the interviewer asked me to fill out paperwork. Based on the interview experience I was not tempted to accept the offer, especially once the interviewer told me (AFTER I had been in the office for about 4 hours and already taken the test) that they have a 2-year post work non-compete clause. It felt a bit shark-y all in all and I didn't want to work there.
Easy going. Simple interview with multiple rounds. Very friendly people. asked basic questions. Tested knowledge of both math and English to determine my fit in the role. Would recommened. Very friendly staff and hiring team.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at C2 Education (Georgia, LA) in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview process was straightforward and conversational. I first completed an online application and was later contacted by a hiring manager for a virtual interview. The discussion focused on my teaching experience, communication skills, ability to work with students of different learning styles, and how I approach standardized test preparation. The interviewer also explained the training process, scheduling expectations, and company culture. Overall, the process felt organized and welcoming.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at C2 Education (Edison, NJ) in May 2024
Interview
The interview process is very simple.
Usually a center director will reach out after you applied and have you sit in for a mock test to see your qualifications. Based on your score, they will ask basic things "why tutoring, what subjects are you also willing to teach..."
