I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bungalow (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2018
Interview
The interview process was: talk with recruiter, talk with west Coast GM, challenge, challenge presentation, and onsite. I enjoyed my conversation with the recruiter, we was clearly passionate about the company. The hiring manager was able to give me a very clear overview of the role and responsibilities. The challenge was very difficult. I thought it gave me a good idea of what the role would be like, but it took me a good amount of time to complete. The on-site was nice, their office is in a good part of town and the whole team seemed to be very assionate and upbeat, definitely people I would want to work with.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bungalow (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
The Bungalow interview process started with a phone screen with their recruiter. After that I had an interview with the hiring manager. Upon completion of that interview I was assigned a challenge exercise and was give a few days to complete it. Next, I presented my challenge exercise to the hiring manager and further explained why my skills and desire to work for a startup would make me a good fit for the role and company. After that I was invited onsite for in person interviews where I met with four members of the team, including the CEO and COO. Each of these interviews were between 30 minutes and an hour in length.

She really did make me interested in the role. Then I spoke to the hiring manager who was very motivational and gave me a deep dive into the role an company. I did the challenge and, although it was hard, it gave me very good insight into what my role would be. I came onsite and met the team. They were all very passionate, positive and seemed to really like their jobs and wanted to truly get to know me, which is nice. I am excited to hear back if I got the job!
