Interviews for Top Jobs at Brayman Construction

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Brayman Construction (Saxonburg, PA)
I had two interviews. The first was with the owner and a senior manager which went well. It turns out that mine was to be a new position at the company so I was invited back to meet a whole room full of managers and superintendents that I would be working with. That ‘round table’ also went well and I was offered the best job I’ve ever had. Jobs are what you make of them. I’ve ran with this one and am still enjoying it.
- What had caused to to be “kicking the tires” and looking for a new job?

Interview was very casual more like a conversation. No real challenging questions, more just like tell me about yourself and previous work/intern experience. There was no phone interview before the in person. I received a benefits package and I was asked what salary I could expect.
- Tell me about yourself

They give a presentation about the company and look for questions. We had two individual interviews following this presentation and a lunch. The interview was pretty standard and nothing too out of the ordinary. Inbetween interviews they have you wait in a room with other candidates and some of the employees ask you questions as a group.
- Tell me about yourself. How do you see your future? Do you have any questions for me?

The typical corporate stuff. In the big conference room, trying to impress you to come aboard. You discuss your resume, last projects, employers, experience. I give then credit, in the corporate office they put on a great show, in the field, another world! Due what you can with what you got and make due.
- Are you committed?

Found advertisement on Craigslist, submitted my application. I was contacted via phone and email. Spoke to HR Administrator a few times before setting up a face to face interview. The interview seemed to go well and we all seemed to be satisfied with their questions and my answers. I was offered the position and accepted. Entire process took one week.
- Asked general HR questions, what did I know about benefits changes.

The HR person had found my resume on indeed or monster. I was emailed asking if I was still interested in employment, and then an interview was set up at the main office. Interviewed with HR manager, then operations manager and project manager.
- Nothing too unexpected. Asked about my previous experience and where I saw my career going

My profile was found on LinkedIN by their recruiter who reached out to me. Was not really looking but it semed like an intriguing opportunity so I pursued further. Was given an indepth phone screen by the recruiter and was scheduled for a face to face. Met the recruiter at first and was given an excellent overview of the firm, culture, benefits, job etc. Then met with 2 hiring managers and was very indepth interviews. Very thorough and was made to feel welcome and questions were asked/answered. Very good interview process. Made it to second round of interviews was very interested but not chosen. Was told via phone that I Was out and that was appreciated. Great ptocess overall.
- Interviewers had done research at my job at my present company and had in depth questions regarding my use of Social Media as claimed on resume and why/why not that translated to current company SM usage. These guys do their homework before the interview.
